A massive new cargo terminal is taking shape on the East Coast of Andhra Pradesh, backed by a significant investment of sixteen hundred fifteen crore rupees. Slated for its first stage completion in January 2027, this hub is designed to provide special services to the neighboring states of Telangana, Karnataka, and Maharashtra.

This development is projected to generate an annual turnover of ten crore rupees while creating substantial transport opportunities for the region. Strategically located near the Ramayapatnam port affiliation, the project also includes a new cargo rail terminal being established in the Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district, specifically near Tettu, Chevur, and Macherla village.
