Plantation Drive Held at K.V.R. Government College for Women(A), Kurnool
Kurnool, August 30, 2024: Under the National Service Scheme Unit-I, a plantation drive was conducted at K.V.R. Government College for Women. This initiative is part of the government's broader effort for environmental protection and tree plantation. A diverse range of saplings were planted on the college premises during the event.
The drive was attended by dignitaries, Dr. V.V. Subrahmanya Kumar garu, Principal of the college; DSP Sri S. Mahboob Basha garu; DVEO Sri Parameshwar Reddy garu; K.V.R. Government Junior College for Girls Principal Sri Lallappa garu; and Lions Club Chairman Sri Shivaram Goud garu, Smt. Sweta Reddy garu, Sri Prabhu Charan, Smt. Reshma, and Smt. Radha Ramani participated.
The event was coordinated by Smt. A. Jayalakshmi, NSS Unit-I Coordinator. During the program, Principal Dr. V.V. Subrahmanya Kumar addressed the students about planting and caring for trees to protect the environment. DSP Mahboob Basha, sir, highlighted everyone’s responsibility to enhance the environment for future generations and encouraged students to plant trees in their villages.
The plantation drive saw active participation from both students and faculty members.
